The Moore Norman Technology Center Foundation, Inc. was established in 1974 to foster and promote technology education, and to help students realize their dreams when financial difficulties can become a road block to academic and career success. Since its inception, the MNTC Foundation has grown to include a granting program for teachers as well as emergency funding for MNTC students or staff who face  sudden hardship. A tax-deductible gift to the MNTC Foundation is a gift of a quality education and an investment in the future of our economy.

MNTC Foundation Goals

  • Engage the community in ongoing education improvement

Choose Where Your Donations Go

  • Scholarships - Merit-based scholarships awarded to students who have exhibited outstanding leadership and professional skills in their MNTC class.
  • Emergency Funding - Available to any MNTC student or staff member in the event of a sudden loss of income or extreme hardship.
  • Grants to Teachers - Assist teachers in purchasing classroom supplies and equipment to enable them to teach their students more effectively. These funds can also be applied to tuition or training costs related to teaching.

Trustees

MNTC Foundation trustees may include up to 20 representatives of Moore and Norman banking institutions, chambers of commerce and business. Currently, MNTC’s Foundation has 17 trustees.

MNTC Food Pantry

The MNTC Foundation Food Pantry is a free food assistance service offered to current students (long term and short term) and current MNTC employees. There are not income requirements. Participants must complete an intake application to participate. The MNTC Foundation Food Pantry is sponsored by the MNTC Foundation in partnership with the Regional Food Bank.

JOSEPH R. BARNARD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Awarded at MOORE NORMAN TECHNOLOGY CENTER

Oklahoma City’s Tio Chuy’s Auto Sales Award Scholarships in Honor of Family Patriarch.

Last year, Rich Barnard, president and CEO of Tio Chuy’s Auto Sales, LLC surprised his family with a special announcement. Not only was his company starting a scholarship at Moore Norman Technology Center, the scholarship was named after the family patriarch, Joseph R. Barnard.

The Joseph R. Barnard Memorial Scholarship was awarded to six (6) Moore Norman Technology Center students who will each receive a $1000 scholarship. This scholarship will allow our students to purchase tools, pay for certification exams, and cover other expenses that may otherwise present barriers to entering the workforce in their chosen field.

The second group of students to receive the scholarship are; Elizabeth Adams, Surgical Technology; Joshua Ware, Chason Brassfield, and McKenzie Fleehart from Automotive Service Technology; Riley Cole, Aviation Maintenance Technology; Londyn Robb, Esthetics.
