About MNTC

Mission Statement

Elevating lives, careers and our economy through innovative education/training and dynamic business solutions.

What is MNTC?

Established in 1972, Moore Norman Technology Center is viewed as one of the nation's premiere educational and training institutions. MNTC is one of 29 technology centers within Oklahoma's globally-recognized CareerTech System. With an emphasis on experiential learning and hands-on training, adult and high school students gain meaningful career and technical skills that, in most cases, lead to state and national certifications and employment. MNTC also provides professional business consultation and training to area companies and has an award-winning Business Development Center on campus to help entrepreneurs in the early phases of business-building. The MNTC district includes the communities of Norman, Moore and south Oklahoma City.

MNTC has earned the Oklahoma Association of Technology Center’s Gold Star School Award thirteen times. This annual application-based award recognizes technology center districts that have met rigid and demanding criteria demonstrating a high level of excellence. This voluntary program provides recognition to districts with exemplary programs designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.

As an educational institution, we offer educational opportunities for:

  1. High school students
  2. College-bound students
  3. Career changing adults
  4. Career advancing professionals
  5. Business and industry training and certification

Oklahoma’s network of technology centers provides an option for career and technical education that is both industry and community-focused. It is the responsibility of technology centers to use taxpayer funds to educate, train, and develop a strong workforce that enhances economic development in our state, and we are obligated to improve the quality of life for all Oklahomans. MNTC offers clients and students classroom and lab space, and exposure to the same high-end equipment and tools used in industry right now.
